I always loved dancing. I studied classical and contemporary dances and after some years, I also began acting and dancing.

My personal career was in general inclined to musicals and acting. During ten years I had worked without interruptions in theaters and on TV, enjoying my own career.

In 1986 at the beach by chance, I met a boy whom I had some problems to communicate with.

.... but I can also say that the boy had a communication problem, who knows? Maybe it was also a coming and going problem in the difficulty of communicating between us.

Only when my son, who was three years old, and I began playing with some pails full of sand, that little boy came nearer to answer us with the eco of a noise. Right there I realized that the boy wanted to play, and that we had communicated with each other. In that moment I knew that the boy had impairment. It was my first time seeing a boy with those characteristics and I was very moved to see that he can enjoy being with another kid because at last he had established some kind of communicating through the musical rhythms. He can communicate!!!

The summer went away with both of them playing together and enjoying their friendship. It was in that moment that a desire to share my artistic profession with people to whom to offer ways of communication through different artistic disciplines appeared in me.

Due in that moment my work on TV and in the theater took all my time, I couldn't put in practice the idea. But six years after I have met the boy, and having finished my last work in a musical waiting to be called by a producer, I remembered the boy and me proposed to myself to contact some people from the arts and pedagogic field who wanted to accompany me in this enterprise.

We opened the first center of arts for people with different capacities.

The main objective of these Art Workshops is to work with the abilities of this participant, not with his/her disabilities.

From that moment on and based in the RESPECT and LOVE that we have to give between everybody, is that we began with the great task of getting together people with intellectual impairment to this GREAT AND WONDERFUL WORLD OF ART.

Everything that a person takes and transforms in any way is taken to the artistic field , because it will always have a mark that will identify it with that person, and it will be used to communicate and being communicated with his/her own world that sometimes it appeared as slept but it is still intact.

That is why through the body, as a sound voice or the sound from musical instruments or with a creation on paper or clay we can make THE COMMUNICATION. That is when we can see that children, youngers or adults with different problems can work armonically and that each one will be expressing IN HIS/HER OWN WAY, without the demand of a common language.

Between themselves they learn the CANNOT of the other and know that his/her own capacity will be respected. Also the acceptance to our own limitations is a way to growth. It is a place to 'EDUCATE THE SIGHT TO HELP TO GROWTH".
