AIM
In order to obtain an adequate inclusion in the competitive work we provide people with intellectual disabilities a whole and individualized formation.
Through the supervision made to young people included and the evaluations to the postulants to a job, we could observe that beyond the specific formation for a special task or job, these people lacked the knowledge and basic handling of aspects related with the work world and also with the adult role that this implies. We refer to essential matters as: independence, self displacement, recognition of money, handling of timetables and organization of the time, methods on work searching, organization and presentation of personal data and a general knowledge about the concept of companies, different positions and roles. We thought that without this approximation to reality, people with disabilities will stay forever in a role as “kids”, keeping us away from our objective: to reach work integration, and as a result, social real.
The learning is grouped in four different work modules:
- Instrumental learning.
- Personal Autonomy learning.
- Socio cultural learning.
- Learning connected with the work world.
