The use of the computer working with people with disabilities, is developed in order to stimulate the different capacities, making easier the learning and development of abilities, a fact that foster important changes in their lives.

These changes is representing through the discovery of new motivations and interests, and the acquisition of a bigger autonomy, optimizing their possibilities in the everyday life.

AIMS OF THE WORKSHOP

Presentation of the basic computer contents.

Use of the computer as an alternative tool to:

• Stimulate learning in different areas of knowledge.
• Increase the development of social and work capacities.
• Grant the group socialization and interaction.
• Promote the personal autonomy.
• Strengthen the self-esteem.

WORK MODALITY

It is a group class and it lasts an hour and a half. It is divided in four moments:

1. Work group without the PC discussing the subject to treat that day.
2. Presentation of the informatics contents in a computer in front of the class.
3. Individual work at the PC.
4. Ludic activity with an educational program or educational page in Internet.

• Windows and Microsoft Office Applications.
• Educative software according to the different work areas.
