PROJECT FOR THE YEAR 2009
Fundacion Discar Theatre workshops offer to young and adult people with intellectual disabilities a space where to express and develop their creative potentialities.
Its general aims are:

• To offer the students theater resources in a ludic way.

• To offer the students a searching, recognition and exploration space of their internal word through drama art.

We think theatre as a purpose in itself, but also as a mean, a tool for the individual development, to improve the communication and self discovery.

In theatre different artistic expressions converge harmonically allowing through them, that individuals can express, know and relate with each other.

Through different exercises of heating, improvisation, body and voice relaxation, we improve the attention and concentration, we make to appear the interest for new things and we wake the imagination in each participant.

The project for this 2009 also shows the nearing to other theatrical resources like make up and costumes.

Students will be offered theoretic and practice contents, and they could work with concrete material of these two arts that complemented the performance.

The ones that form this workshop want to build a space and time where the participants can develop their potentialities and use them inside and outside the workshop, improving step by step their quality of life!!!
