CONSTRUCTION OF A POSSIBLE AUTONOMY

For all the young people of today, having an independent life is an election that implies the exercise of abilities of everyday life and the fulfillment of responsibilities, with autonomy and auto determination.

When we talk about the preparation for the adult life we have to take into account the different aspects of reality that a person has to face, that is why we talk of human development, life at home and inside the community.

In this Workshop we plan to be with them and support them in the construction that implies to manage a bigger autonomy that would result in bigger possibilities of the exercise of their rights as citizens.

In order to fulfill this, the support of their families is essential, as natural supports to stimulate and collaborate with the possibility of this autonomy.


GENERAL OBJECTIVES

Favorecer el mayor grado de autonomía posible en personas con discapacidad intelectual, a través del desarrollo de su capacidad de autodeterminación, la inclusión a la vida social y/o cultural, así como el manejo adecuado del tiempo libre, propiciando de este modo una mejor calidad de vida

OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS

• To strengthen the auto determination of the young people.
• To promote the making of decisions in a responsible way.
• To foster within the families with people with disabilities, the knowledge that they have a right to have an independent and adult life.
• To favor their integration to the community and its culture.

TIMETABLE

• Tuesdays from 10 to 1 pm
• Thursdays from 10 to 1 pm
• Thursdays from 3 to 6 pm
